Time-delay on trigger

Post by philippe78 »

I can't find the time-delay function of the Picoscope 6 on the Picoscope 7.
I use it for level measurement because I have a big difference of time between signal position on channel B and trigger on channel A(few ms) and signal length (few µs).
On Picoscope 7, I only find a pre-trigger function on % (I will need post trigger in time as it was available on Picospcope 6).
I also try to use Math channels but I see no impact of advance when I change value and delay can only be set in seconds (I can put B[-1] but not B[-0.001])

Hi Philippe,

I'm responding to this quite late, but if this was not resolved for you, then the answer is that you need to select one of the advanced Trigger types to access the delay option.

Hi Gerry,

I have identical probleme:
Unfortunately, however, it is impossible to use an external trigger source with advanced Trigger types. Only Simple Edge allows an external trigger.
Or is there a solution?

Hi Yano,

I apologise for the delayed response, I have been on annual leave.

External Triggers are an additional means of creating a simple Trigger without using up an Input Channel. As they are an addition, they don't have all of the functionality and precision of an Input Channel Trigger. So, unfortunately, there are no Advanced Triggering options for them.
