How fast can you switch between input ranges?
I am considering to buy a Picoscope 4824A, but I am not entirely sure whether this scope is suitable for my application.
I have three coils [A, B and C] that are periodically (at a known time) switching from a 2V signal to a 50mV signal. I would like to measure both signals at the highest possible resolution, so I see two options:
1. I connect each coil to two inputs, one with a 2V input range and one with a 50mV input range. QUESTION: Can the picoscope handle a 2V input signal, while the input is configured with a 50mV input range? Of course this will result in a useless measurement, but will it also break the hardware?
2. I connect each coil to one input and fast switch between the 2V and 50mV input range. QUESTION: can I reconfigure the picoscope from a 2V to 50mV input range within 1millisecond?
