Signal value at ruler time

Post by MalcolmG »

Hi

I'm having trouble doing something that seems so basic and fundamental, I feel like I must be missing something.

When I place a cursor on the time axis, I want to have a precise reading of what the value of the signal is at this point, but the only way I can see to do so is to add a ruler on the vertical axis and eyeball it to intersect the signal at the same spot as the time ruler - this seems like an unnecessary extra step - surely there's a way to automatically display the signal value at a ruler location?

For an example, in the attached trace I want to know what the signal value is at the time point of -5ms. I can see it's close to 8A, and I could zoom in more or add a signal ruler that looks like it's in the right location, but surely it can be shown without those extra steps? I need to do this a lot so anything which speeds up the process is great.

This has been a feature request for a time now but still not implemented.
