2204A blinking, clicking, not initializing in most cases

Post by kakarotas »

Hi,
I'm not sure but it is possible that my 2204A(IT830/211) got 50V DC in one of the channels because of equipment failure. It was still working fine for the rest of the day, but the next day initializing it relay was clicking every three seconds or so, it was blinking red and 9/10 times would not initialize (Software message Failed). 1/10 it would initialize and clicking would stop.

I would love to try to fix it, I think some semiconductor on front-end part is might be fried. Nothing looking/smelling bad on the board, nothing is heating up while relay is clicking. Questions:
1. Is there any additional diagnostics available somewhere? Software "Fail" message is not very useful
2. Is there any hardware tips/chips I could try to change first which are known to fail on overvoltage first? (PCB PC138 V2)
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
