Re: picoscope 2204a ; not sure what I'm doing wrong

For a +2.3V signal in DC coupling you will indeed need to use the +/-5V range with that model scope, and resolution will indeed be a bit poor for small voltage variations. The 8 bit resolution gives you 256 steps between +5 and -5V, meaning about a 0.04V step size. You should be able to use AC ...

Re: picoscope 2204a stopped working

Try another USB cable and USB port. Reinstall software.

Re: Pico 2204A shows wrong voltage

I had a similar issue some time ago, sometimes it showed correct voltage, other times considerably lower. Turns out the laptop had a bad USB port, if I remember it right the negative power had a bad connection. The scope showed correct voltages when it got the full 5V from the USB, and the incorrect ...

Re: Latest supported PicoScope version for 2202 USB scope?

Made a couple of test runs with Pico 7 in block mode with settings that uses the entire 8kS buffer in the scope, I got 8384 waveforms max at that setting, meaning a little more than 67MS in total. So yes, in block mode you indeed get a rather large amount of memory in total, and it will work well ...

Re: Max streaming speed 4824A in PS7

Looking at the specification PDF 80MS/s sampling rate seems to only apply to max 4 channels, 5+ channels is limited to 40MS/s, and that's for block mode, not streaming. Streaming mode is marked as max 20MS/s shared between channels in Pico 6 software. No info for Pico 7 software there, but I don't ...

Re: Latest supported PicoScope version for 2202 USB scope?

I have a 2203, I'm guessing they behave the same. It will work in Pico 7, although a bug reduces the available memory in the software*. Pico 6 works fine. *The scope can have up to 2MS per channel in a waveform when streaming. In Pico 6 software you have a 100MS total limit in the software meaning ...

Did you perhaps install the automotive version of the software instead of the test & measure version? 2205A will only work with T&M.

Re: Hello

You'll have lots of fun with that!
Just remember to attenuate the input signal, the scope only goes to 20V and can be damaged over 100, lots of things around vehicle electrical systems can go above that. Using the 1:1/10:1 probe at 10:1 should be reasonably safe for many things (not all).

Re: Hi, I'm beginner :)

Did you get the right Pico 6 version? Some wander off into the automotive part of Picoscopes site and get the automotive software, that will not work with your 2000 series scope. If you have the right software but it still doesn't work, try uninstalling it and installing again. As for question two ...

I think you have a button called "Zero offset" in the channel settings, have you tried that?

Re: Feature Requests

I do see your points. The situation isn't quite ideal.
About the short input box, I believe you can write the formula anywhere and copy-paste it (or copy-paste it from the box to anywhere else with more room), if that helps seeing everything going on at once.

Re: Feature Requests

I don't use picolog, just the picoscope software so there may be differences in how this works, but I fail to see the point in using the output from one or more math channels to base another math channel on. Make one single math channel to do all the math you want based on the raw input data, and ...
